CAT Oat Litter

Biodegradable, odour-neutralising litter that clumps

Cats are the best. They toilet‑train themselves. The problem is their “toilet” is part of your decor. And no matter how many fancy litters you’ve tried, that litter box keeps stinking. So we made a fragrance-free litter from absorbent Australian oats with odour-neutralising natural enzymes. The neat little pellets don’t track, they clump fast. When you’re done, they biodegrade back into the earth. No smell, no mess, no worries. Litter-ally life-changing.

Why You’ll Love it?

  • Australian-made
  • Plant based and 100% biodegradable
  • Natural odour-neutralisation
  • Clumps fast
  • Fragrance-free, colour-free
  • No nasty chemicals
  • Low-dust and low-tracking
  • Water-dispersible (can be flushed in small amounts depending on your local water regulations)
  • Recommended and used by vets - especially Dr Lisa Chimes

How to use?

Shake bag before use.

First time use

When first transitioning to this litter, do so gradually over 5–7 days. Start with 1/4 new litter mixed with old litter, then gradually increase the new litter while decreasing the old litter. Keep the litter box in its usual spot and clean it regularly. If your cat is hesitant, slow the change.

Ongoing use

  1. Start with a clean, dry litter box.
  2. If you can clean the litter regularly throughout the day, pour 5–6 metric cups of litter at one end of the box. If you cannot clean it throughout the day, or you have multiple cats, fill the box with 5–7cm (2–3 inches) of litter and spread evenly.
  3. Scoop out clumps and solids daily using a scoop or toilet paper.
  4. Dispose of litter in the trash or bury it in the garden (non-edible plants only). Small quantities may also be flushed in accordance with local regulations.
  5. Clean the area where the clump was using CAT by Dr Lisa Wee Cleaner to remove residual odours. Dry the area before covering it with litter.
  6. Top up litter as needed to maintain the correct depth.

Storage

Reseal bag tightly. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use within 2 months of opening.

Dr Lisa's Toileting Tips

For optimal urinary tract health, normal voiding and toilet training, Dr Lisa recommends that each cat has one litter box plus a spare - ensure the box is the right size. Cats prefer clean litter boxes, so remove soiled litter frequently. To reduce toileting stress, ensure that litter boxes are in quiet areas away from food and water. Seek prompt veterinary advice if you notice any changes in your cat’s toileting behaviour.
